Amanda Holden on modern parenting dilemmas and the pressures young girls have to deal with

TONIGHT is my final performance of Cinderellabefore I fly to Blackpool on Tuesday morning for the start of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

Tomorrow is MOT Mandy Day, when my house will be bustling with my glam squad who are in charge of getting me camera-ready.

We like to leave it to the last minute to ensure no one else has been photographed in the same outfit.

Amanda will be showcasing some new looks and is deciding on her final selection of outfits

Then it’s time to board a private jet with Simon, Alesha and David for the short flight up north. I can’t wait to be reunited with the gang again.

We usually have a glass of fizz (it will be a cuppa for me, though, as I’m still detoxing post Christmas!) and talk about acts we’re hoping to see at the auditions.

My stylist wants me to ditch my usual spray tans and go for a paler look this season, but I’m worried I’ll look like a ghost next to Simon!

Like any working mum, I’m always juggling my job with what’s going on at home, and at the moment that includes limiting Lexi’s time on her mobile phone.

She’ll be sitting the 11-plus soon so I have to be tougher than usual, especially when I see her tapping away to friends on WhatsApp.

There’s so much politics about who’s in which chat groups, and it does concern me, as I know young girls can be upset over the slightest things.

I’m dreading the day she wants to open a social media account.

When it comes, I’ll let her, because I don’t want her to feel different from other girls her age, but I’ll monitor it closely.
