This Pokémon Go craze is really sweeping the globe, and has people out here making really stupid moves trying to catch ‘em all. But this one really takes the cake!
In Arizona, Brianne and Brent Daley were arrested after they left their 2-year-old son at home by himself to drive around to play this damn game! A neighbor called 911 after finding the poor kid outside of his house with nothing but a t-shirt and diaper on…in 96-degree weather!
A deputy apparently called the father to tell him that his son had been found, and what did this dude say? “Whatever,” and hung up! Too busy trying to level up as a trainer to see about his son!
About an hour later, the parents showed up, and told the cops they had “ “left their child asleep while they went to get gas,” according to Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. Really? So if you were only going to “get gas,” one of y’all couldn’t have stayed with the baby? Both of you had to go? Please.
The parents were promptly arrested on child abuse and neglect charges, and were later released without bail on their own recognizance. Both of them admitted afterwards that they had been driving around trying to catch ‘em all! The poor boy was left by himself for about an hour and a half, and is now, sadly, in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services. SMH.
Should these parents be prosecuted for their actions? Weigh in below!
